Shannon’s Fight: Exhibition For Remission Was A Great Success!

Shannon received a special two hour medical clearance to attend the event with the event organizers and her sister.

We are proud to report that Shannon’s Fight: The Exhibition for Remission, held on Saturday, July 23rd was a great success! The event raised $75,000 to help foray the medical costs for Shannon Serkes, the 15-year old Farmingdale girl whose Kempo Martial Arts friends sprang into action shortly after learning that Shannon was suffering from a rare form of cancer.

“Shannon’s Fight,” the foundation that was set up just weeks after the young girls’ diagnosis, has no plans of stopping there.  The next event will be on August 14th and will raise money for Shannon and other kids like her, as well as educate the community.  The classic car show will be held at Mary’s Pizza and Pasta in Farmingdale and will include live music and a 50/50 raffle.
